Official replacement treads for the Hayward Shark Vac.Our treads wore out and broke after nearly 5 years of use through just wear and tear.- Treads arrived fast. Exact factory matched part for my pool vac.- Easy to install.- To install you have to remove 6 screws. 4 on the inside housing that protect the tread and pulley drive wheels and the screws that hold the drive wheels in place.- Use a torque screw bit to remove them, they are easy to take out.- The new belt will go on fairly easy. Be patient and dont pull or try to pry it on so you dont damage it.IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you hold the drive wheels with one hand while removing the screw so they dont move freely and grind the drive gears in the motor.Back in business and cleaning the pool for spring. Very satisfied. Just make sure you order the right tread for you Hayward vac. They have different treads for different models. I dont recommend using 3rd party aftermarket treads on something you pay $500 or more for. More than likely it will only lead to slipping and damage the drive parts.
