Completely DISSATISFIED with the (lack of) quality by Halco, the manufacturer of this bulb, for the MINISCULE amount of solder used at the bottom/contact point of this bulb! It's barely the size of half an uncooked popcorn seed, off-center, and doesn't even come close to covering the circular contact area there! My experience with even just the 90W flood lamps commonly used in outdoor/motion-detector fixtures, and which have a substantial amount of solder, is that the solder base/point is typically where those bulbs fail/burn down/wear out, so the life-expectancy of this 500W pool bulb is highly doubtful!
