All right ladies, measure your foot and see how you fit… trust the chartFor reference…I measure a 7.5 on the foot machines at the store but for comfort I normally wear a new balance size 8 2E width…that’s super wide at 4” across.I have Fred flint stone feet, wide across the toes, bunions, with a normal size back half of my foot and it’s very hard to find anything stylish …no less decent looking in my size. And my feet have been this way since childhood…it’s not an old lady thing.This shoe is a water shoe and thus a barefoot fit, wider in the toe box so the toes can splay out and grip when needed. The bottom is super grippy on carpet, grass and dirt which has been where I have used them most. I purchased them for heading to the pool, doing yard work, running to the mailbox and as a summer slipper . They feel light on the foot and my feet don’t slip around inside the shoe which is super important because these are TRUE TO SIZE fit. I purchased an 8 but could have got away with the 7.5…I only noticed it when my son and I were racing in the backyard during a water balloon battle…not as secure as a proper sneaker but these aren’t runners so I’m not expecting support or snug fit. Only two down sides I can discuss to date 1 Breathability…sometimes my feet feel like they are getting moist, they don’t actually sweat or get moist but it consistently feels like I wish they had more air circulation…and the sole will sometimes slide out when I withdrawal my foot. 2. The back of the shoe comes up high on my heel…enough that I’m constantly aware of it but putting on socks helps……I’m not interested in getting a blister. most of the time, I tuck the heel down flat onto the sole and wear them backless, but if I’m walking further than the mailbox I put them on correctly and so far no blisters even after wearing all day shopping.Just arrived today, I have issues with my ankles and need a stable fitting shoe for outdoors. These are designed great!! The plastic sides the hold the shoelaces hold your foot in place. Also a ribbon sewn on the back to hold your heal stable. The band around the ankle is like a sock top and stretches and when you slip it on. It is not loose. ( Bought another shoe I returned that was not stretchy around the ankle and it was hard to get on and off) Has an arch and the materials are soft and not itchy. Nice solid tracking sole with water holes. So comfortable. Will see how they hold up on vacation.Wore them kayaking and hiking on a trip to Antelope Canyon, another trip hiking the Narrows in Zion NP and to play in the lake with my grandkids. Tip: If your plans are to hike part of your trip in sand, wear socks to avoid abrasion.I originally purchased this shoe and another pair of water shoes directly through the manufacturer. They were too large and I had some return issues. When I initially contacted the manufacturer they were not very concerned about solving the problem. Rather than argue I purchased the shoe in a smaller size through Amazon and wrote a review describing my experience. I was subsequently contacted by a different representative (Ivy) and she went above and beyond in providing excellent customer service in addressing the issue. We corresponded back and forth through Amazon and the issue was resolved in a couple of days. Some reps are better than others and some understand outstanding customer service is essential if you want to retain good customers these days. Thank you, Ivy, and I appreciate your hard work.I have an average 7.5 foot and the 7 fit best. Due to the varying reviews, I purchased both the 7 and 6.5. Again, 7 fit best but it was very uncomfortable for my ankle and after a day at Xcaret skin tore. Plan ahead when purchasing, but I do not regret it. This style is far better than the ones available when I was a kid. After my family saw what I had they also purchased Nortiv8.Fit as expected. Have held up to chlorinated pool for a few months so farI am Steven's wife. I love these shoes. They are very easy to put on and are comfortable to wear. I would order them again.UPDATE: so after leaving my review the seller contacted me and gave me a full refund. The sole of my shoe was starting to detach unfortunately. I do really like the shoes though. They fit really well in my kayak and stay on my feet and are super comfortable. Will definitely give them another try after the seller reached out and made it right.I like these shoes they work. I've worn them 3 times now and they are already starting to rip and fall apart unfortunately. I'll probably try gluing them back and sewing them up together. They are super light weight and have a hard enough soul to walk on rocks. I like them i just wish it was better material. But that's everything nowadaysGood shoes for roxky rivers as long as you are careful. You can still feel sharp rocks through them sometimes.I walk around mostly fine but just once in a while I feel pain in my foot from a sharp bit of rock.For the value, if they are not for real hard terrain. They are perfectIf your adventures are quite demanding and you dont want to be constantly changing shoes. Not so goodI like the sole on these. Tough enough to walk in especially on pebbles/rocky river Bank. Water drained out quickly too. I bought my usual 7, they're slightly big so may have gotten away with 6.5 but I also like the fact they are wide so plenty of toe space. The lace with toggle helped tighten them securely. I kayaked and swam in the river with these on and found them secure on my foot, much better than the previous pair I had with a velcro fastner and thinner sole. My husband got mens pair same make in his usual size 8 and his fitted perfectly. Happy with our purchases.Very well made and comfortable. Brought for aqua classes. I am a size 7uk and the 7uk fits perfect. I will recommend them to others.
